All students at Long Road Sixth Form College have the opportunity to sign up for the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award Scheme – you do not need to have completed Bronze or Silver Awards to take part!
This prestigious award is a fantastic way to enjoy new and exciting experiences, build your confidence, gain new friends and develop skills that will really enhance your university and job applications.

The programme is bespoke to your particular interests, but will include the following core units:
- Volunteering
- Physical and skills
- An expedition
- A residential
The challenges and experiences of this will offer you the opportunity to develop a range of vital life skills.
