Welcome Day 2026

Monday 29 June 2026

All applicants who have accepted their offer of study, and are interested in trying out their courses, will be invited to register to attend our exciting Welcome Day. The day will include taster lessons, getting to know course teachers, going through summer work activities, and meeting other new students who share your academic interests.

Overview of the Day

Your timetable for the day will include taster lessons, a short break, as well as a talk from our Guidance Team, introducing you to opportunities outside the classroom. We make every effort to try to ensure you are timetabled for the subjects you have been offered, but this may not always be possible. Timetables for the day will be sent to all registered applicants at least a week before the event.

We understand that this is a big step, and we want to make sure you get the best out of your experience. Rest assured that our staff will be available for support on the day. If you would like to be put in touch with our Wellbeing Team before the event, please do let us know.

Food and Drink

We recommend that you bring a snack and drink with you, but you will also have the option to purchase something from our Food Centre. Please note that we are a cashless site, so you'll need to bring a bank card or phone in order to make any purchases.

We are very excited to be joined by Toni’s Ices, a local family-run business, serving ice cream throughout the day!

Water stations are available across the campus, so don’t forget your bottle. Seating is available across the Food Centre, Quad, and Student Centre.

If you have any questions about the event, please contact our Admissions Team on admissions@longroad.ac.uk.
