National Careers Week & Neurodiversity
Our students had a fantastic afternoon last Wednesday visiting our neighbours, Abcam, to meet neurodiverse members of staff and to learn about how the company welcomes people of all backgrounds.
We had great presentations from Fiona Smith FCIPD and her colleagues in scientific research, marketing, workspace, diversity and inclusion, internal communications, and customer service.
The talks gave us a really good insight into how a global company works and how all the different people and roles come together to create great Cambridge success story.
Despite the cold, wet, and windy walk we really enjoyed the visit and the tour of the company's HQ on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus. We hope to do much more together on careers and diversity.
