Students perform at Corn Exchange 150th anniversary event

Last night, our performing arts students had the privilege of performing at the Cambridge Corn Exchange as part of their 150th anniversary celebrations!

Our Music and Musical Theatre students were invited to perform at the 150th anniversary celebration event for the Corn Exchange with the brief of “marking the immense span of the venue’s 150 year past through the lens of its future”.

Music students responded with a performance in tribute to legendary appearances at the Corn Exchange by Freddie Mercury and David Bowie, presenting a powerful medley featuring We Will Rock You, Under Pressure and Bohemian Rhapsody with soaring guitar solos over strong drum and bass lines and vocal harmonies that truly packed a punch.

In homage to the show last touring to the Corn Exchange in 2012, Musical Theatre students presented All That Jazz from the iconic musical Chicago, with bold choreography, dramatic flair and plenty of attitude.
