Student Alfie named WINNER of London MET photography competition

Congratulations to Long Road Sixth Form students for their outstanding achievements in this year's photography competition run by London Metropolitan University.
The prize for the best portrait was awarded to second year photography student Alfie Cafferkey Dawson for his evocative portrait. Alfie was thrilled that he was also chosen as Overall Winner.
“This photograph felt honest to me — capturing something real yet unique. Winning reminded me that there’s power in simplicity, and that the most meaningful images are often the ones that feel authentic and resonate with others.”
Second year Isabella Easthope was selected as a Runner up for her still life photograph and Molly Bennett was shortlisted in the portrait category.
Eight more of our talented students were highly commended. All their images can be seen on the London Met BA Photography Website https://www.ldnmetarts.photography/fe-student-competition-2025
