Long Road Netball Teams Join Cambridgeshire’s 100-Year Netball Celebration
Last Saturday our Year 1 girls from the 1st and 2nd Netball Teams took part in the Cambridgeshire Schools Netball County Tournament. The event celebrated England Netball’s centenary, bringing together 30 teams across the U14, U16 and U19 age groups for a fantastic day of competition.
Our Long Road players performed brilliantly throughout the tournament, finishing in an impressive 6th place. The day was made even more special by the opportunity to meet Commonwealth gold medallist Rachael Dunn, former England Roses Goal Shooter, and learn from international umpire Gareth Fowler, who was on hand to mentor participants.
The teams also received lots of lovely comments about their new kit!
Congratulations to everyone who took part. It was fantastic to see the girls playing so well, representing Long Road and enjoying a brilliant day of netball. Well done, team!
