Graphics students celebrate Strawberry Fair 50th Anniversary with a design competition!
Our Graphic Design students have once again been working with the organisers of Strawberry Fair in a competition to design t-shirts and badges to be sold at this year's event.
At the start of the year, Strawberry Fair event organisers visited our students to set them a live brief; asking this year for designs that celebrate the 50th anniversary of Strawberry Fair. Students could choose whether to design t-shirts, which would be sold at the Battle of the Bands night, with the 2nd and 3rd place designs being turned into badges to be sold across the event. A tight design brief limiting students to using only 3 colours made this a real challenge!
After another year of outstanding entries, last week the winners were chosen, and we are excited to announce them today! Congratulations to Zoe Olano (winner), Marz Petrou (runner-up) and Lucy Chau (runner-up). All of these designs will now be printed onto badges and t-shirts to be sold at Strawberry Fair - we can't wait to see them come to life!
Thank you once again to the organisers of Strawberry Fair for offering our students the opportunity to work on a live brief, develop their skills and get their design work out into the real-world!
