Director of Student Care, Guidance and Progression

Job Description

£49,268 per annum • Permanent • Full Time, Term Time only • Required from April 2022

We are seeking to recruit a creative and committed colleague to the post of Director of Student Care, Guidance and Progression.

Reporting to the Assistant Principal, you will lead a team of motivated professionals and work collaboratively with colleagues across the College to ensure excellent outcomes and progression for all our students.

Our collective aim is to prepare our students to face and relish the opportunities and challenges ahead, becoming thinking, questioning and caring members of society.

The role involves working in partnership with students, parents/carers and fellow professionals to address barriers to learning and to motivate and inspire students to aim high and fulfil their own potential as they progress into higher education or careers.

We are eager to receive your application whether you have a school, sixth form college, further education or university background. We believe whatever your previous experience you will have valuable insights to share.

We are looking for someone who will commit to our Long Road mission and will work with drive and determination to provide an exceptional student experience.

This role is a rare opportunity to work in a significant leadership position in our friendly, successful and financially secure sixth form college.

This role will commence after the Easter Holidays, and is offered on a fulltime and permanent basis.

Conveniently located close to the M11 and A14, within easy reach of several areas of outstanding natural beauty and the Norfolk Suffolk coast, the college is set next to the Biomedical Campus in its own attractive grounds in the beautiful and expanding Bio/Technical city of Cambridge.  Long Road was judged by OFSTED to be Good all five categories, and we are now taking the next steps to become an Outstanding College.
