You will find our campus environment is very similar to that found at universities across the UK, we have created this atmosphere to encourage your learning to flourish. You will have independent study periods which you can spend in our dedicated study spaces across campus.
Independent study periods further your academic knowledge but also give you skills that will be vital for university studies, such as organisation, time management, source analysis and independent research. To facilitate your independent learning we have a purpose-built study complex, the Learning Resource Centre, made up of a central library which is home to 30,000 books, a computer suite, group study area and silent study space. Learning resources and assignment briefs are easily accessible on our college intranet site, where you are able to upload finished work for your teachers to mark.
It is important to us that we give you individual feedback on your work and progress so we ensure that you are taught in small classes where our specialist, friendly teachers can give you 1-to-1 attention and personal guidance. Studying at Sixth Form College requires high levels of student participation, you will take part in mature group discussions and debates, carry out research on varied topics and give presentations to your fellow classmates.
