The Level 3 Applied Diploma in ICT (Cambridge Technicals in ICT) department wanted an exciting and engaging poster to promote the course – so who better to assign an advertising brief than our Graphic Design Level 3 Diploma students?
Twenty Graphic Design students produced posters with one of two slogans: IT for the Digital Age or Your Pathway to a Digital Future.
During the college open evening on 19th and 20th October, prospective students and parents visiting the ICT department were asked to vote which of the top six posters should win.. There was much interest in the competition, and it proved and excellent source of discussion over the two evenings.
There was a clear winner so congratulations to Olly Lockyer, who produced a sophisticated and modern design. Ollie’s poster will be used to market the course to prospective students. Ollie’s prize was an IBM selfie stick.
Our Graphic Design students greatly enjoyed working on the competition and gaining experience of working on a live brief.
