Student Harry found himself with lots of extra time on his hands when we went into lockdown, but he hasn’t been letting it go to waste.
Harry got in touch to tell us all about the amazing volunteering work he’s been doing during lockdown and how he hopes it will not only help others but will also help with his progression plans after Long Road!
“I am volunteering with St John Ambulance, and have been deployed many places including Addenbrooke’s A&E, where we are in-charge of staff and patient PPE, helping with patient care and filling in with any non-clinical roles which are needed. We’ve also been deployed to help run Blood Donation centres in the East of England, and soon to most Care Homes across Cambridge and Peterborough to help with staffing issues.
My plan is to use this experience to access Medicine via clearing in August, or later down the line!”
Excellent volunteering work Harry, we’re so proud to have you as part of our Long Road community!
