A report released today celebrates the work of staff and students at Long Road Sixth Form College.
The College is a member of the highly-regarded Central and Eastern Network of sixth form colleges, who work together to continuously improve their work with students.
In a recent evaluation visit organised through the network, senior staff from other sixth-form colleges across the country worked with students and groups of staff. They followed up their visit with a progress report on the College’s strengths and improvement plans.
In their report, all the visitors highlight the excellent contribution made by students and staff in raising standards, stating: ‘The College has made good progress with its plans, which have had a positive impact on improving learner achievements.’ The report commends the new ideas and approaches in use at the College, the commitment of staff and the involvement of students in all of the developments taking place.
The work of the Central and Eastern Network (CENBASE) also won praise from inspectors in a recent OFSTED report: http://bit.ly/sJ6xAG.
