Hundreds of youngsters with disabilities battled it out for honours in a variety of sports at the School Games Plus event held at the One Leisure Outdoor Centre in St Ives.
The children competed in athletics, boccia, cricket, netball, tag rugby and table cricket and there were also opportunities to try new sports thanks to a series of taster sessions.
Students from Long Road Sixth Form College and Peterborough Regional College helped organise and run the various sporting activities.
England international netball player Lindsay Keable was a special guest at the event and was impressed with what she saw.
“It was a fantastic day and something special for the young people,” she said. “I’ve loved being involved with the School Games Plus and being able to watch the amazing competitions taking place.”
The event was organised by Living Sport and the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Local Organising Committee.
