Smiles all round at Long Road Sixth Form College as future Doctors, Engineers, Film Producers and Politicians collect their results.

Congratulations to all our wonderful students who received their results today. We invited some of our lovely, talented students in to college this morning for a photo shoot to celebrate their results with us! Our students were greeted with tea, coffee, fresh pastries and a Long Road goodie bag as a congratulations gift from all the Long Road staff who are so proud of their achievements.


Oliver Nunn – Oliver, who joined us from Samuel Ward Academy, will soon be off to Sheffield University to study a History degree having achieved a brilliant set of results: A in English Literature, A in History and a B in Politics.

With aspirations to have a career in politics keep an eye out for Oliver as a future Prime minister!

Dahna Nugumanova and very proud Dad – Dahna, who previously studied at St Marys, is now off to Newcastle University to study Psychology.

Dahna achieved amazing results with a Distinction Star in Business, Distinction Star in Graphic Design and a B in Psychology.

An excited Dahna told us that she has loved every part of studying at Long Road and that she will miss it so much.

We’ll miss you too Dahna, congratulations and best of luck for the future!

Hayden Wong – Hayden, from Parkside Federation, is a future rocket builder off to study Aeronautical Engineering the Loughborough University.

Hayden achieved an outstanding set of results with 4 A’S in Chemistry, Physics, Maths and Further Maths.

Congratulations Hayden, what an achievement!

Izabella Bonifacio – Izabella, from Cottenham Village College, has an exciting gap year ahead working in a care home and as a hospital porter before applying to universities next year.

Originally planning to study medicine, Izabella is now taking some time to decide whether she wants to apply for Biochemistry or Pharmacology courses. With her excellent grades (A in Biology, A in Chemistry and a B in Psychology) we know she’ll excel in whatever path she chooses!

Jacob Pybus – Jacob, previously at Linton Village College, celebrated his confirmed place at the University of Leeds where he will be studying Media.

Jacob told us that everyone he met at Long Road has been so nice, with this friendly and supportive environment of the college helping him in achieving excellent results: A in English Literature and Language, A in Sociology and B in Media.

Congratulations Jacob, well done and best of luck at Leeds!

Noah Reyes and proud Mum, Dad and sister – Noah has made his family extremely proud achieving A’s across the board in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.

Noah is now getting ready for some busy years ahead studying Medicine at Plymouth University! He told us “Long Road really helped me with my career path, it’s been brilliant!”

Congratulations future Doctor Noah!

Sophie Forbes – Sophie has achieved a truly fantastic set of A Level results: A in Chemistry, A in Psychology and a B in Biology.

Sophie was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue syndrome and was out of school for some time before spending 3 years in specialist provision, at Red Balloon in Cambridge. Since starting her studies at Long Road Sixth Form College she has truly blossomed and we are so glad to have celebrated her brilliant results with her today.

Sophie is taking a gap year working at Cambridge University Vet School before taking up her place at Bristol University to study Veterinary Medicine – what an achievement! Congratulations Sophie!

Twins Jessica and Emma Dixon – Twins Jess and Emma, from Cottenham Village College, both celebrated their excellent results with us today. Jess achieved 3 A’s in Criminology, Geography and Sociology; while Emma achieved an A in Sociology, B in English Language and Literature and a C in Geography.

Jess is taking a gap year gaining some work experience with a Law firm before heading off to the University of Bristol to study a Law degree.

Emma has accepted her place at the University of Hull to study American Studies with a year abroad in America to look forward to!

Congratulations to both sisters!

Beth Wildman – Beth, previously studying at Impington Village College, has achieved another fantastic set of results with 3 Distinction Stars in Photography, Media and ICT.

Beth is planning a magical gap year working in a Harry Potter store while she applies for a BBC Apprenticeship in Film Production and a Special Effects course in New Zealand!

Well done Beth on these amazing results, we can’t wait to hear where you end up next!

Sophie Kerridge and extremely proud Dad – Sophie, who joined Long Road from The Netherhall School, is soon to be leaving us for Sussex University where she’ll be studying American Studies.

Sophie achieved great results with a B in History, A in Religious Studies and an A in Sociology!

Amazing results Sophie, all your hard work has paid off – congratulations!

Lauren Young – Lauren, previously at Linton Village College, celebrated her fantastic results with us this morning achieving an A in Criminology, B in English Language and Literature and an A in Psychology.

Lauren has an extremely exciting year to look forward to working as a Learning Support Professional with TBAP in Cambridge where she’ll be supporting secondary school students with learning and behavioural difficulties. She also has a confirmed place at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU) for September 2020 where she will be studying Criminology.
