Through studying Sociology, you can gain a better understanding of society and attempt to answer a range of questions on social issues such as why class, gender and ethnic inequalities still exist in society.

In class there will be a range of different activities:

group work;
researching evidence and assessing theories;
independent work e.g. researching contemporary issues in the media;
watching relevant documentaries / films that inform your learning.
