Psychology students visit University of Nottingham

Posted on

Psychology students spent an extremely useful and interesting day at the University of Nottigham this week.

After  a short presentation about studying at the university, our students were given a tour of the campus by some current undergraduates. After lunch they visited a hall of residence to see what student accommodation is like, then attended a mini lecture, which gave them a better idea of studying Psychology at this level. Finally, there was an informal meeting with Psychology undergraduates, which gave our students a chance to ask lots of questions about the transition from sixth form to university.

Psychology teacher Krystyna Jaworska-Wood comments: “The lecture, by Dr Mark Haselgrove, was on the bio psychology of schizophrenia, a topic we cover at A2. It was a fabulous day, and we are extremely grateful to the staff and students at the university for looking after us so well.”
