Performing Arts Level 3 and A level Drama students have just attended a Macbeth workshop at the Globe.
The students had a tour of the space with a lecture and then access to the Exhibition before watching the performance.
Afterwards, they spotted Joseph Millson, who plays Macbeth outside a coffee shop and went to talk to him. He kindly offered to have a picture taken with them all. The cast also included Lord of the Rings star Billy Boyd, who played Banquo.
Alex Spooner, Performing Arts Level 3 student says: “Overall a great experience especially as we were
standing so close to the actors we could actually see the blood dripping from their bodies!”
Kate Gardner, also on the Level 3 course adds: “I loved the way they included the audience – I felt being a ‘pleb’ was a great experience.”
Wendy Frost, Performing Arts Level 3 Diploma course team leader comments: “The students really enjoyed the production. It was exciting, dynamic and very easily accessible. The acting was outstanding and one of the best pieces of Shakespeare I have seen.”
