We’re so jealous of our Year 1 Art and Design Level 3 Diploma students who have just returned from a 4 day residential trip to Paris!
The students were lucky enough to visit the Musee D’Orsay, Musee Marmotten, Rodin Museum, The Louvre, Picasso Museum and L’Orangerie, with students saying that they enjoyed the opportunity to see original works. They also told us that the trip allowed them to gather ideas for their second-year practical work and take photographs as source materials.
Elliot Kingsford said “I think the trip to Paris was fantastic. I really enjoyed the boat trip as there were many good photo opportunities. The hotel was excellent and my favourite food was at the Hard Rock Café where I ate 7 ice creams!” and Joe Cornish Gentry said “I really enjoyed the Paris trip, I especially enjoyed the wide range of locations and museums we visited as is was a spectacular opportunity to view famous artists and their work.”
Visiting Paris in the middle of a heatwave, the weather was beautiful for the entirety of the trip and meant that the boat trip along the Seine was thoroughly enjoyed!
