“The charity One Day Without Shoes asks people to go barefoot for a day on 10 April,” explains Holly, who teaches Media Studies. “It aims to draw attention to children in less developed countries who are unable to afford shoes. This makes them vulnerable to disease and injury.”
As 10 April is during the Easter Holidays, the students decided to hold a cake stall and got to work baking.
“We were really pleased with the support we got from students and raised £90,” says Holly.
