Congratulations to student Gina for her upcoming independent photography exhibition!

We spoke to Gina about all her hard work and asked how this amazing achievement got started…

I first saw the opportunity to exhibit my own work when I went to see an art exhibition at Storey’s Field Centre, in Eddington; the first one they put on since opening last year.

As it is a community space I wondered if they would be willing to allow me to display a few of my images. I spoke to the people there and asked if it was possible and they were very enthusiastic to support a student wanting to promote their work.

I have been very fortunate in my time at Long Road to be able to travel to new places on the photography trips to New York and Paris this year as well as building up my portfolio here at home. Collecting this together gave me an idea for a theme on how three different cities can feel strangely familiar while each are quite unique.

I would like to thank Mary, Martin and Mel at Long Road and everyone at Storey’s Field Centre for supporting me in making all of this happen.”

Congratulations Gina, we can’t wait to see where your photography takes you next!
