Politics student Kerri Wall was selected to take part in a summer school at Wadham College, University of Oxford. The programme has been devised to give students at taster of what it is like to be an undergraduate studying Politics at Oxford.
“Part of the course was a series of seminars on the topic: ‘Strong Words: The Power and Politics of Language’, she explains. “We looked at the influence of the media, and how politics is presented to the public. I was also interested in the focus on feminism.
“We also received help on how to write a personal statement for Oxford – the programme is aimed at overcoming barriers to entry to the university.”
