Long Road is a popular and successful Sixth Form College with 2,600 16-19 year old full-time students. Design Technology and Art Technician

Application Deadline: 30 November 2021

Start Date: January 2022

As our ideal candidate, you will provide a technical service to staff and students in the Visual and Performing Arts department, with specific responsibilities to Design & Technology in order to provide and maintain a high-quality offer to Students. Previous experience of working within a Workshop is essential, as you will be demonstrating the use of workshop machinery, tools and computing techniques, and processes to Staff and Students, as well as being responsible for the maintenance of equipment and stock.


Student Supervisor – COVID

Working within our Academic Support team, the role will Support and maintain clear expectations for student behaviour and safety whilst they are on or near the College site. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that students abide by the Covid-19 guidance by maintaining social distancing, making sure Students are wearing a face covering when out of the classroom and implementing any other guidance that may be introduced.

This is an ideal opportunity for a person keen to gain experience of working within a student-facing role, in an educational establishment.


Teacher of Social Sciences

We are seeking a suitably qualified and dedicated professional who can teach within any of the Social Science subjects, though ideally Criminology.

This is a part-time role working across 3 days. We welcome applications from Early Career Teachers.


IT Services Technician

As an IT Services Technician, you will act as a friendly first point of contact for both students and staff. As part of a customer focused and service orientated team, you will be assisting in the configuration, implementation, operation and maintenance of the College’s IT Hardware, Software and Networks. Our friendly, diligent IT Services department provides practical technical assistance to both our Students and Staff, ensuring that all the College’s technical requirements are fully met.
