Geography students in Catalonia

Posted on

Geography students have visited Barcelona and the surrounding area on a trip designed to provide inspiration and a dynamic backdrop to topical geographical issues. The trip, which was for five days, started with two days in Barcelona examining the sustainability of the city as well as taking in the varied sights including Camp Nou and Gaudi’s Parco Guell and unfinished cathedral La Sagrada Familia.

The students then moved out of Barcelona to examine biodiversity within the Garraf national park, where the students could view human impacts on the environment. The incredible backdrop of the Garrotxa volcanic park helped provide a real insight into extrusive volcanic formations.

In the evenings the students were able to relax by the pool at the hotel or go down to the beach.
