Yesterday our Foundation Art & Design students enjoyed a visit to Aid and Abet.
Students had an informative tour and discussion with Sarah surrounding project briefs and working as an Artist. This also was extended to talking about public art projects around the city and the developing cityscape / structures.
This was an excellent opportunity for students to research and think about the concepts of their work. It was also a brilliant way for our Long Road FAD students to form a link into the creative industry.
Aid & Abet place artistic process at the centre of the projects it develops and the relationships that creative practice can enable between collaborators, contributors and communities. Aid & Abet envisages its projects as artworks inclusive of all aspects; from the curatorial vision to the relationships formed, the artworks produced and the documentation of the process.
