We are absolutely delighted with our results this year.
Our overall A*-E percentage pass rate is once again very high at 97.3%, and our A*-C pass rate is 68%, which is almost 4% higher than last year and 6.6% higher than in 2013/14. Subjects with high A*-C grades include Photography (87%), Maths (for Further Maths) (83%), English Literature (77.6%), Sociology (76.1%), Spanish (81.8%) and Film Studies (91.8%). This is an outstanding attainment for the college, and the year-on-year increases in high grade achievement show that the college is going from strength to strength.

Students taking applied courses with us have also achieved exceptionally well, with more than 80% of our students studying on our level 3 applied courses in Media (120 credit), Health & Social Care (120 credit) and Performing Arts (120 credit) achieving Distinction* or Distinction grades. 94% of students studying on our Applied Science 60 credit course achieved either Distinction* or Distinction grades, and 100% of students studying the Applied Physics 60 credit and Sport 120 credit courses achieved Distinction* or Distinction grades.
We were shortlisted for the Times Educational Supplement Sixth Form College of the year for 2016: this, along with these excellent results, is testimony to the hard work and dedication of our staff and students. Congratulations to all at Long Road Sixth Form College.
