The last week of term before the Christmas holidays was a busy one for our Engineering Education Scheme 2019 Team!
Our 5 students who are working on the 6-month EES 2019 project with ARM spent two days in the Dyson Engineering workshop at the University of Cambridge Engineering department on Monday 16th and Tuesday 17th December.
Two ARM engineers mentored out students as they used their time to finalise their design for their project ‘Germinator 2’; a state of the art electronically monitored and maintained perfect growing condition plant environment. Click here to head to our Facebook page to see a full range of photos!
The team, Aditi, Adam, Ben, Ryan and Dayyan, have been working on the project for 8 weeks so far; with weekly meetings with the ARM engineers every Wednesday afternoon. The project finishes at Easter where the team will produce a working prototype, a display board, a fully detailed report and give a 15-minute presentation explaining their project to a group of professional engineers who will then lead a question and answer session. Last year our Long Road team, Rachel, Jamie, Luke, Dale and Eddie won the People’s Choice award – we can’t wait to see if the 2019 Team can continue this winning streak!
