Sixteen valiant dodgeball teams fought tightly-contested battles to make their way to the top – and help raise money for Children in Need.

“We started off with a Group Stage in Children in Need Week, with the top two from each group progressing through to the quarter finals, semi finals and the final this week,” explains Sports Development Manager Rob Day.

Perhaps the most colourful, if not the most successful, team was the Biology Buccaneers – five Biology teachers and a student, who decided to dress up as pirates, but they faced stiff competition from teams such as Powerhouse, We Go To The Gym, Claire United, Bombay Badboys, Yakuzas and Keith.

In the end, the winners were The Winning Team, with runners up Sue Bryan’s Barmy Army.

“It was a great success,” says Rob, “with £80 raised for Children in Need.”
