Last Tuesday, our Criminology team and 49 students had an extraordinary day out to Lincoln where they took part in a range of activities that complemented their classroom learning and also got them thinking about their next steps after Long Road.
The group started the day with a taster session led by the Principal Lecturer of Criminology at the University of Lincoln. This was followed by a detailing tour of the campus, giving the students the opportunity to see first-hand everything that the University of Lincoln has to offer them as prospective students.
After a busy morning, the group headed to Lincoln Castle – specifically to visit the old underground Victorian prison. Our students had an exciting afternoon exploring the cells, dressing up as victorian prisoners and imagining what life behind bars would have been like: the solitude of the single cell, the chaos of the crowded cell and the desperation of the dark cell.
We would like to thank the University of Lincoln and everyone at Lincoln Castle for supporting our Criminology team on an excellent day out!
