Summer Exams / Exam Results 2020

OfQual have now announced how they would like to proceed with the awarding of grades for A Levels and GCSE Qualifications this summer.

Please click here to read the full release on the OfQual website.

Please click here for the letter to all GCSE and A Level Students from OfQual.

Please click here to read the college’s Centre Assessed Grades policy.

We will be looking at this in detail this afternoon and determining the course of action we need to take to submit grades. Please bear with us while we do this, we need to get it right.

It is not yet clear how this works for Applied General courses, and we may need to wait for additional guidance from the awarding bodies, such as BTEC, before we know. We will communicate with all students once we have understood the process fully

Update: Thursday 16 April

Ofqual has published a consultation on the exceptional arrangements for awarding GCSE and A/AS levels in summer 2020. The deadline for responses is 29 April.

Further information on this consultation can be found here: https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/exceptional-arrangements-for-exam-grading-and-assessment-in-2020

We can confirm that A-Level students will get their results on 13 August, and GCSE students will get theirs on 20 August as previously published.
