Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update for 2020 Applicants

Dear Applicants,

Following the Prime Minister’s announcement last night, Long Road Sixth Form College has taken the decision to hold all future Advice and Guidance Interviews via telephone, effective immediately.

What happens next…

I have already been scheduled for an interview, what do I need to do?

  • The interviewer will automatically contact the student via telephone at your scheduled time.
  • You do not need to contact us to confirm your telephone interview.
  • Do not come into college for an interview. 

I haven’t been scheduled an interview yet, what do I need to do?

  • If you are still waiting to hear from us then please keep checking your emails for any updates on your account.

Summer Work

To keep you motivated and excited about joining us in September, we will be uploading our Summer work early – we aim to have it available for you to download from our website by early May.

If you’re looking for something to keep you busy now, then take a look at the summer work 2019. This will give you a great idea of what you have to look forward to when you begin studying your new courses with us in September!

Exam Results 2020 

OfQual have now announced how they would like to proceed with the awarding of grades for A Levels and GCSE Qualifications this summer.

Update: Thursday 16 April

Ofqual has published a consultation on the exceptional arrangements for awarding GCSE and A/AS levels in summer 2020. The deadline for responses is 29 April.

We can confirm that A-Level students will get their results on 13 August, and GCSE students will get theirs on 20 August as previously published.
