Tracking your Application

In order to log in to your Long Road On-line account click here. You will be able to view details of interviews, offers and general information as it is published.

What happens at the admissions interviews?

These are  individual 20-minute informal discussions and take place throughout the academic year by finishing before Easter.  You will able to discuss your programme of study, course combinations, interests and aspirations with your interviewer, who will be able to offer course guidance, where appropriate.  Please tell your interviewer about any additional support you may require.

Your parent/carers are welcome to attend your interview with you.

At the end of your interview, your interviewer may make you a verbal conditional offer and give you a form, which lists your provisional/agreed courses.

We also take a photograph of you for your ID badge and complete a simple exam ID check (using either your birth certificate or passport, which we will ask you to bring with you).

Parking arrangements

Parking will be limited at the admissions interview sessions, and we strongly recommend that you use the Babraham Road Park & Ride. You can get off the bus at the Addenbrooke’s roundabout (where the A1307 meets Fendon Road) and walk through the hospital grounds to the college on Robinson Way. Alternatively the guided bus from Trumpington Park and Ride also has a stop close to the college.

For details on how to find the college, please click here.

What if I am unable to attend the interview?

Please contact the admissions secretary on admissions@longroad.ac.uk. She will see if it is possible to rearrange your interview.

I haven’t heard about my interview yet

We email all applicants details of their interview times and date around 14 days before their interview takes place, using the first email address provided on your online application.

We usually match students to interviewers who teach one of the subjects for which they have applied. This means that you will not necessarily be attending an interview session with other students from your school.

We intend to inform all students about their interview date by mid-March. Please check your in box (and your spam mail box) on a regular basis.
