Capgemini  is a French multinational corporation with its headquarters in Paris. It provides IT, outsourcing and management consultancy services and is one of the world’s largest companies of its type with a staff of over 120,000 operating in 48 countries.

Claire was invited by Level 3 Business Diploma teacher Mark Nunneley to launch a series of talks: “ The  Long View’’. These are designed to prepare students for employment both post-Long Road and post-further education, as well as to show them the kinds of careers they might pursue.

Claire talked about the legal constraints in recruitment and selection, both from the point of view of an employee and a candidate. She also talked about her own post, which involves both national and international project management. Claire also talked about the start of her career after studying a similar business course to our students.

Nadia Cameron, Course Team Leader, says: “We were thrilled to be able to welcome Claire to Long Road.  To have someone from a multinational company such as Capgemini is a real bonus for our students, and I am sure that her talk will not only help to give them the edge on related course units but will also inspire them to work towards such employment opportunities in the future.”
