Buy original art and make a difference this weekend at Long Road!

Ruth Laslett, our Head of Visual and Performing Arts, and the Trustee Director for Rowan Cambridge would like to invite you all to a fantastic Arts Exhibition at Long Road this weekend! 

The art exhibition ‘Cambridge Seen’ is taking place on Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 February from 11am – 4pm, here at Long Road Sixth Form College.

Over 150 works will be on sale which have been created by accomplished artists and inspired amateurs. Any Art work can be purchased at the event, so come along and have a look – all money raised will go towards funds helping the Rowan students.

A bit about Rowan…

Rowan is a charity, set up in 1984, based on Humberstone Road in Cambridge who work to improve and enhance the lives of people with learning disabilities through arts and crafts; providing opportunities for self-expression. Rowan run a number of studios including wood, ceramics, print, textiles and mixed media, alongside regular music and performance workshops. Working on creative projects in small groups with tutors enables Rowan’s students to develop social and communication skills, offering a rounded and stimulating group experience to each individual participant.
