Biology A level students visited the Babraham Institute on its annual Schools’ Day to find out more about the institute and the research it carries out.
On arrival our students were divided into small groups. They then worked with research staff investigating cell transformation and DNA epigenetics.
Shaista Hayat, Biology and Applied Science teacher, says: “This was an excellent opportunity for our students to find out more about the working environment in a research institution. This event has not only enriched their studies at Long Road but also opened their eyes to possible fields of future study and employment.”
