‘Belbin’ Client Relationships Manager visits Year 2 Business students

Lisa Ward, Client Relationships Manager with “Belbin”, spent time in college yesterday, working with Year 2 Business Studies students.  This generous activity was part of a developing relationship between the college and Belbin, who specialise in working with organisations all around the world, helping them to reflect upon how staff behave in teamwork situations.

Our students were encouraged to think about how they behave in relation to others, and how others might work in similar or different ways.  Recognising role differences helped them reflect upon their strengths when working in teams, and how best to capitalise on this in their future career plans.

Lisa was very impressed with the students, commenting, “…your students seemed to be really engaged and picked up the nine behaviours with ease, which is excellent.”

Our students will now use these insights to contribute to their current course work, but also think about how it might influence and improve their UCAS applications, or in some cases, approaches to Apprenticeship opportunities.
