“Be inspired” was the message for the photography students who visited the amazing exhibition by the leading fashion Tim Walker, photographer at the V&A on the 25th September.
Walker’s beautiful photographs were based on objects he selected from the museum’s collection. The students said they were most inspired by the “variety of fashion and the locations used by Tim Walker” in the photographs and by “the exciting way the work was presented in the exhibition rooms”. A particular favourite series of photographs for students were the fashion photographs in one room featuring a model who’s personal story was reflected in the photographs, this gave them something to develop in their own photography projects.
In the afternoon the museum turned out to be an excellent venue for “people watching” as students photographed on location, practising the skills they were learning in the classroom.
