Art & Design Level 3 students visit NUA degree show

Posted on

Level 3 Year 1 Diploma students visited the Norwich University of the Arts degree show in July, which included work from specialisms in photography, animation, fine art, fashion and textiles, graphics and illustration.

Students saw final shows from ex-Long Road diploma students, Sam Thurgood Buss and Lucy Timms.

Sophia Giannattasio, Art & Design student, says: “We saw a wide variety of different courses, including photography, gaming development, fine art, fashion, and animation. I personally found gaming and illustration the most interesting and informative about what I should be looking for in a university and what might be expected of me. Since going there, I’m definitely considering Norwich as a place to go to. The others in my class found it just as useful as I did. Graphics, textiles and photography were also really popular amongst the others. Overall, it was a really enjoyable trip that was well worth making.”

Karen Little, Course Team Leader, says: “The trip was an important part of the transition into Year 2, enriching students’ understanding of progression areas and specialisms in Art and Design.”
