Adam Tolfree Cup won by Funnell’s Five

Posted on

Our student Adam Tolfree passed away in January after developing meningitis B. To raise awareness and fundraise for the Meningitis Research Foundation, four of our Level 3 Sport Diploma students, Harry Benton, Jack Eade, Callum Robinson and Dan Murphy, organised a 5-a-side football tournament. Eight teams took part, including Adam’s Biology and Chemistry classmates and their teachers and a team of former Bassingbourn Village College students (Adam’s previous school). The winners were Funnell’s Five, who beat the Long Road Basketball Academy in the final, with the winning goal scored by Oliver Slack.

The trophy was awarded by Adam’s mother, Alison Oxenford Tolfree.
