Politics students went to see a dramatized of George Orwell’s dystopian 1984 at the Cambridge Arts Theatre. The play was nominated for a 2014 Olivier Award for Best New Play and is currently on tour.
Student Weronika Kurzynska says:
“I found the play ‘1984’ at Cambridge Arts Theatre an amazing visual experience. The acting and interpretation of the book was well portrayed on stage and I found it highly enjoyable. I’d recommend the play to others as the impact of the message is brought across strongly with phenomenal acting during the most intense parts of the play. The setting on stage along with ‘real’ props enhanced the experience for me. I also believe the play has put George Orwell’s worries for the political world across clearly.”
