    Music in the Marquee

    This year, due to COVID restrictions, we were unable to put on our usual summer performance to an audience in The Studio.  So instead, we headed to the college marquee in glorious sunshine on the evening of July 2nd and played to each other and a small number of staff.

    Art students Cambridge Research trip

    Last week our Year 1 Art and Design Level 3 Extended Diploma students took the opportunity to draw and photograph to gain inspiration for their new Year 2 project starting in Cambridge Market, Kings Parade and into Coe Fen, ending up at Little St Mary’s Church.

    Congrats to our Chess Club Tournament winners!

    Last week, Long Road Chess Club held its very first tournament. There were two prizes to be won, for those who came in first and second place. The competition was fierce (coming down to a three-way tiebreak!) but in the end, the prizes were claimed by Erdogan Suay and Timu Guceri.

    Sixth form students focus on Fake News in national art exhibition launched today

    Today sees the launch of Fake News, an online exhibition of pictures created by sixth form college students. The exhibition showcases students’ creative interpretation of the Fake News theme and their reflections on how hard it can be to distinguish fact from fiction.
