Entry Requirements
This is a summary of the entry requirements for the four programmes of study at Long Road Sixth Form College.
A level Programme
At least seven Grade 4s in a range of subjects including Maths and English, and, if taken, the subject applied for. There may be additional requirements: please see individual course details.
Prospective students with fewer than 7 GCSEs at Grade 4, or without a Grade 4 in either Maths or English, may be considered depending on their intended programme of study and career plan if they have an average grade of at least 4 in all subjects taken at GCSE level, and two or more grades higher than 4.

Level 3 Applied Programme
At least five Grades 4 or equivalent in a range of subjects including in GCSE English and Merit in the subject applied for, if taken as an applied course. Students with at least seven GCSEs at Grade 4 may include one or more A levels in their programme.
OR
A Merit grade in an OCR or BTEC Certificate in a related area (6-credit qualification), and a Grade 4 or above in GCSE English. Students with a Distinction grade in a related area (6-credit qualification) may be considered with a Grade 3 in GCSE English.

Access to A level programme (GCSEs)
At least 3 GCSEs at Grade 4 in a range of subjects with at least Grade 3 in English and Maths.

Level 2 Applied programme
4 Grade 3s at GCSE, including English. Students enrolling on these courses who have not achieved a Grade 4 in English and / or Maths GCSE must retake these if intending to progress to Level 3.
