Long Road Student wins Orwell Youth Prize 2022

Congratulations to student Jennifer Wolfe who today was announced as a Senior Winner in the Orwell Youth Prize 2022!

This year, the Orwell Youth Prize competition set young writers the challenge of thinking and writing creatively and critically about how the climate crisis affects the people, places and things around them. Focusing on the questions, how will our impact on the environment affect the places you know? and what will the impact be on human beings around the world?

Each entry was read by at least two assessors, and the final winners were chosen by our panel of esteemed judges Professor Michael Jacobs, Nada Farhoud, Gillian Clarke, and Dan Bernardo.

Jennifer’s entry Out of time? was selected by the panel as 1 of 3 winners in the Senior Winner category. As a congratulations she will receive the full collection of George Orwell’s books! Her work will be published on the Orwell Youth Prize website next week

Jennifer is a Year 2 student who has just completed her studies in A Level Biology, A Level History, A Level English Language & Literature and the Extended Project Qualification.
